The University of York is in the village of Heslington, which is a short bus or taxi ride from the city of York, where there are numerous options for hotel accommodation – links to some possible options for accommodation can be found here.
How to get there: within the UK, York is well-served by the rail network with direct routes to and from most major cities, including London (under 2 hours from King’s Cross), Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Bristol. For those coming from outside the UK (but not flying into London), it is accessible from Manchester airport via a direct train and from Leeds-Bradford airport, from which there are other travel options (further details here).
IMPORTANT: some conference participants coming from outside the UK may need Electronic Travel Authorisation to enter the country. Further information can be found here.
