CFP: History of Political Thought Early Career Seminar OXFORD

CALL FOR PAPERS

HISTORY OF POLITICAL THOUGHT

EARLY CAREER SEMINAR

The Convenors of the History of Political Thought Early Career Seminar invite papers from researchers (DPhil/PhD students included) for a seminar to be held in Trinity (April – June) 2013.

The University of Oxford has a long-standing reputation as a key centre for the study of political ideas. The seminar aims to provide a forum for advanced research students, Junior Research and Career Development Fellows as well as recently appointed Lecturers to present and receive feedback on chapters of their thesis, prospective articles and/or work in progress. The seminar hopes to reflect the breadth of expertise found at Oxford by exploring a wide variety of periods, themes and approaches to history of political thought. Accordingly, papers may be on any aspect of the history of political ideas, including historiography and methodology.

Please send an abstract of max. 150 words and a one-page CV via e-mail to nicolas.stonevillani@history.ox.ac.uk marked ‘HPT CFP’. The deadline for submission is March 22. The committee will let you know if your paper has been accepted by April 5.
