Annual Conference
Our annual conference will take place at King’s College London (KCL) on Saturday, 26th October 2013. Our theme this year shall be:
‘Contemporary Political Theory, Analytical and Continental’
Topics may include, among others:
- · Liberty and equality;
- · The equal protection of the laws in a multi-cultural (or culturally diverse) society;
- · The liberal-communitarian debate;
- · Post-national citizenship in contemporary Europe (the relevance of Habermas and Foucault and other major European thinkers);
- · The legitimacy of the state today;
- · Feminist Theories;
- · International (relations) political theory;
- · Armed humanitarian intervention and other issues in international justice.
Please submit your proposals to Dr. Evangelia Sembou evangelia.sembou@hotmail.com, group convenor, and Dr. Zenon Stavrinides z.stavrinides@lineone.net , secretary of the group, by 15 August 2013. Proposals should be about 200 words.
