Assistant Professor Appointment in Political Theory

 

The Department of Political Science at the University of Victoria invites applications for a tenure track position in Political Theory.  The appointment, effective July 1, 2014, will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor.

 

Applicants should have completed or near-completed PhD in Political Science (or related program with a strong political science element).  Applicants should have a record and promise of research excellence appropriate to their stage of career, and a well-developed research program in political theory.  The candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  The successful candidate will be joining an active department with vibrant MA and PhD programs.  Applicants are encouraged to consult the department website at http://web.uvic.ca/poli for information on the research interests of department faculty and programs it offers.  Potential applicants who have questions about the position are encouraged to contact the Chair, Avigail Eisenberg, at chairpol@uvic.ca
