Lecturer in Political Philosophy

Full Time : The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7-8. The salary range will be Grade 7 £36,064 – £39,132 per annum Grade 8 £40,216 – £47,441 per annum (depending on experience), inclusive of London Allowance.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer with proven research potential in the area of political philosophy. The successful applicant will be required to give a total of four separate classes over the academic year (two each term), at both undergraduate and graduate level. These classes will be divided between the Department of Philosophy and the European Social and Political Studies (ESPS) programme. Additional, minor teaching duties may include (but are not limited to) supervision of ESPS dissertation students, contribution to the team-taught ESPS ‘Core Course’ and participation in ESPS Admissions Days. The successful applicant will also be expected to supervise graduate students from the Philosophy Department, as well as taking on administrative and examining roles in European Social and Political Studies.

The successful candidate should have, or be about to get, a PhD in in a relevant area of the subject.
